Yacht Week Birthday

It was my birthday a week ago and I had a super amazing week with some of my closest friends sailing the Aegean Sea. It was nothing like the real world.
My birthday was the last day of the week and I woke up feeling super amazing. I mean, who wouldn't be if they woke up to my view?

As I stared into the horizon I reminisced about the past 7 days; being twirled on the dance floor in Hydra by a handsome Spaniard, dancing on the rocks in Dhokos, dancing on a table in bikini in Lavrio, dancing to Flavour's Ashewo out in the sea and meeting many super gorgeous and friendly people.

Before I continue, here is a short video of the week:

I met and had a super awesome time with Sid, Akshita, Phatsi, Ivie, Khadijah, Kelz and Lynnal.

It was a blast as always with Chioma, AED, Victor and Uju.

I enjoyed listening to the radio conversations between the skippers. There were a lot of trash talk and they just had the coolest call signs:

  • Just The Tip (Jack our skipper) - Self explanatory, ey?
  • DILF - He made a baby with his hostess
  • Chindragger - Tipped over into the sea
  • Donkey Punch - Drunk and donkey punched a crew member who was fully dressed for a party into the water
  • You're Daddy - Got a call saying he's about to be a daddy
  • Big Black Double-ended Dildo - I have no idea how he got the name but he is a legend of sort.
  • Aqua Job - Got a 'job' under water

They had others like Mowgli, Sun Cream, Goldilocks, Double Dip, OMG, Carpe Diem, Caesar, Lucky Charms and Daddy Day Care. So cool!

Checked out of the yacht and went off to Athens for a few hours before heading back to London. Had lunch with Juwee and Chioma at the Royal Olympic Hotel and it was excellent.

A toast with a view.

Of course, mirror selfie. I spent the whole day wearing the Happy Birthday band Phatsi gave me, from lunch through airport security and onto the plane. Got rewarded for it as we got invited into the cockpit.

Juwee and I went on a last bender, swiftly going through lots of bottle of Henny and bubbly between taxi and touching down at Heathrow.

I had such an awesome day and week. It was really hard getting back into real life and writing the posts brought back memories. It's been 9 days since I got back to London and I still have my TYW Wrist band. I'll need someone to cut them off my wrist why I sleep.

Here are direct links to the posts broken down by day:

Day 1 - Lavrio
Day 2 - Poros
Day 3 - Ermioni
Day 4 - Nikki Beach
Day 5 - Dhokos
Day 6 - Hydra
Day 7 - Lavrio

A word of advice if you decide to do The Yacht Week, go for a big yacht, the bigger the better!
