Yacht Week Greece: Day 5

Took our time savouring the really cosy suites at Nikki Beah. Then went to have breakfast by the pool.

So today we didn't sail to any island, just to an isolated bay in Dokos to climb rocks and boats while drunk.

We had the regatta today with the sails up, totally enjoyed it. We didn't partake in the race as we set out quite late but some people did and they got dressed for it.

Here is Uju doing some hard work!

Broke out the Absinthe (with some kilishi) and went on a dingy ride with Jack and Matt. I'm not sure how Matt fared but Jack did some James Bond stunt when he tried to re-park the yacht and then passed out in his cabin. I slipped down the stairs and was really thankful I got off with just a bruised back and feet.

Still climbed the rocks to watch the sunset. Alcohol and rocks don't go well together so again, it was a miracle I didn't get hurt. Oh, burnt my hand with a cigar but that's really nothing.

Did some boat-hopping sharing out shots of the devil's drink (absinthe) and quite a number of people ran away from it. Lots of boat parties and games and music playing till sunrise.

Went back to my yacht, laid out front and watched the stars. At that moment I felt so alive, so grateful and ready to explore the world. I felt peace and love. I don't have my life together, I don't have a concrete path to tow, but that moment is what I want to feel over and over again. I looked up at the stars, drunk and bruised, and said, "Thank you Jesus for life". Then fell into the most peaceful sleep ever.
