Scandi Adventure

Off on a two week trip to the Scandinavia with Chiny. I’ve looked forward to this trip since August when I realised the men from the region are hot (I mean, Vikings!). Before all that I’ve always wanted to chase the Aurora Borealis and experience polar nights, it made sense to do this trip at the start of winter. So, of the places we will visit I’m most excited about Svalbard, the northernmost inhibited place in the world (with permanent residents), the black pin right at the top of the map. 

We don’t have a strict itinerary and will mostly go with the flow. See as many landmarks but also experience the people and leave with lasting memories.

I am happy Chiny is doing this trip with me as she is the only person I know mad enough to, as put by my sister, “shell out a lot of money to go freeze your ass off and suffer SAD (seasonal affective disorder) while at it”.  At the end of the two weeks, we’d have been to 6 countries and 11 cities together in the last 13 months.
