A Walk In The Park
Victoria Park is not only London's oldest historic park, it is also one of the city's best kept secret. The park has a pond, tennis court, restaurant, pavilion and bordered by the regents canal.
It was a chilly Sunday morning and I needed to eat as well as take a long walk to clear my head. June was a very tough month for me mentally and so I took every chance I could to just breathe and try to untangle the web in my head. Green space and a canal walk was just what I needed. Oh, and a good breakfast!
I watched the birds and fishes, the swans and dog, children and adults, and I felt some weight fall off to the sound of the water fountain. Some times life comes at us so fast and we forget even the very little things around us that gladdens our hearts, in my case, clear sky and a body of water.
Do you have a secret spot in the city you live in where you go to when you need space to think? What keeps you calm in a storm?
