Let's Go 2017
Last year was quite the year for me. I went away nine months out of twelve; visiting Sweden, Nigeria and Bosnia & Herzegovina twice.
While my plans for Cuba, Greece and Sweden worked perfectly, I tweaked the summer Balkan road trip as I had to travel solo.
Didn’t make it to the Baltics but impromptu trips to Mexico and Canada, again solo, made for exhilarating experiences.
My plan for the year spans four continents with a mix of new countries and old favourites, solo adventures and group trips. Kicked off the year in Sarajevo and intend to spend a couple of weeks in summer in the Balkan doing a similar route like last year but with Serbia replacing Montenegro.
Before then, a family wedding in spring will take me to the Caribbean for lots of sand, sea, soca, rum and nature.
Israel, Jordan and Poland are high on my list of places to visit. To be precise; partying in Tel Aviv and Krakow, watching the sunrise at Masada, camping in Petra and spending a day in the Auschwitz camps.
Finally, I plan to visit a country (other than Nigeria) in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Now to find a way to fit in all of these with my very limited leave days.
These are my 2017 travel plans so far. How about you, where do you hope to visit this year? What are you favourite African and Caribbean countries?
